GPs in Training
Our practice is approved to train fully qualified doctors who wish to specialise in general practice. Our GP registrar will have had 2-4 years of experience as a qualified hospital doctor working in various specialities. They consult patients on their own, under the mentorship of our GPs, specifically Dr Dhanasekar or Dr Anand.
You will be offered an appointment with our GP Registrars as you are any normal GP, you can refuse the appointment however this may mean a longer wait for an appointment.
Medical Students
We also have Medical Students in the surgery, they shadow our Partnered GPs during consultations. You will be told of this prior to your appointment if the students are going to be present. You may refuse this appointment, however this may mean a longer wait for an appointment.
You may also see the Medical Student in a consultation by themselves, please be aware that they are being debriefed by a Partnered GP following your appointment. Any decision that is made will be checked by the Partnered GP.
